Ecological Risk Assessments

Ecological Risk Assessments

Ecological Risk Assessments involve a walk over survey of a site and the production of a letter or report which documents any perceived risk associated with land purchase. This may, for example, identify ponds on site or adjacent to the site which will require further investigation for great crested newts or the presence of protected features on site, for example ancient woodland and veteran trees. All these situations may have implications on the time frames required to support a planning application as well as potential constraints to development.
